River Raven Retreat is located in prime fishing areas. Port Renfrew is the centre of some of world-class salmon and halibut fishing, located just 2 hours outside of Victoria. The pristine waters and strong currents provide incredible habitat for large Halibut specimens as well as 50 pound plus Spring Salmon. Nearby Swiftsure Bank also offers incredible fishing opportunities with Chinook and Coho salmon and an array of bottom fish including red Snapper, Ling Cod, and Black Cod all regularly caught. If fishing isn't your thing Port Renfrew and it'd surrounding provide the best Dungeness crab fishing on the west coast. Freshwater salmon and steelhead are also found in the San Juan River, Gordon River and Harris Creek. The cottage is a short walk from both harbours.
